Our Pastor and Staff

Our Congregational Leaders

Working closely with our awesome staff are our congregational leaders.  One of the distinctives of the Presbyterian church is that leadership is not top down but rather bottom up.   Leaders are elected by a vote of the congregation, and these leaders in turn vote on church decisions.  This team of leaders is known as “The Elders” or “The Session.”  While not perfect, this approach of checks and balances of power helps us avoid some of the drama that has ruined many churches.    The Session works with the pastor to keep our church healthy and flourishing.  The Session even has term limits so that new people and new ideas are constantly being brought into our leadership team.
